Hi everyone:

Welcome to my blog site. My name is Beatrice Marinescu and I am originally from Romania. I came to the United States in the 1990's with my family for freedom. Romania was a communist country.  As a child growing up I saw people getting killed and I experienced things that no kids should ever go through or see. My parents fought for many years to get our family to come to the United States, but we kept getting declined. My parents motivation was a map of the United States that hung on the living room wall. After more than 7 years of fighting to come to the United States something happened. One day my mom was cleaning and she took a nap on the sofa, during her nap she had a dream. In her dream she was walking on a street she never saw before and the signs were in a different language. As she was walking she heard a deep voice saying "Pack your things, it is time to go to the place where you belong". My mom got up from her nap and started packing every ones stuff. My dad came home and saw her packing and asked if she is going crazy. My mom replied "I just had a vision from God, we are going to America". My dad thought that she lost it. Well, a couple of days went by and we got a letter in the mail saying that we were finally approved to come to America. We left Romania not knowing the English language, not having any friends or family and with barely any money. All we knew was that we wanted to have freedom and not worry about dying anymore. So we left everything we knew to start over in a place we knew nothing about but that there is  freedom. Here I will share with you my life, my poetry, articles that I wrote and articles that were written about me. I hope to inspire people of all ages on every level to get up and make a difference in their own life, like I do with mine and to understand that loving one another and just being kind to each other is what makes the world be a good place to live. I hope you guys enjoy my poetry and my view on life.
