My heart is breaking
My body is aching
Tears are flowing down my face
There is so much fear all over the place
My mom is screaming and my sister is crying
My faith is dying
All this sadness, I can't handle anymore
I'm going crazy, I just want to walk out the door
I went to school and then spent nine hours at work
When I got home, I found out my brother is locked up
For no reason
There is no heat in this house during this winter season
My father works third shift and another job during the day
He survives on pills that makes him stay awake
I can't take it anymore, fighting for survival everyday
Will I ever find a way
To be happy and live life the way I should
In a nice house with a lot of food
But right now my heart is breaking and my body is aching
I don't know how much more pain my body is capable of taking

Years of hard work kept adding up
Dreams, determination; all that I gave up
Tried so many things but I still didn’t succeed

Same routine every day
Just so those bills will get paid
So much more I envisioned of my life
How can my dreams be gone right out of my sight?
Robotic I became
But I still crave that fame
Uncertain Fate I guess is what it is
People say 10% of life you have no control
I think mine is more

As soon as I turned off the lights
As soon as I tucked myself in
As soon as I fell asleep
The Devil came into my dream
I started to lose control of my body
I couldn't move and I couldn't talk
I felt like I was burning in Hell
It was so scary the way everything felt
Something or someone was blinding my eyes
All I saw was the Devil by my side
I started screaming, but no sound would come out
My lungs were hurting from all the force I was trying to let out
I tried to pull myself out of bed
But my vision fled
I couldn't move, I became paralyzed
I don't understand why this happened to me tonight
I am so tired and I just want to sleep
I will wait until I see daylight outside
So I can sleep in peace
